Portknockie Heritage Map for Family Historians and Visitors
Map of Portknockie with the historic house numbering system pre 1873 and post 1873 and the current system adopted in 1919 which allocated street names and numbers. House numbers pre 1873 were allocated by Seafield Estates apparently in the order the houses were built. Seafield Estates changed the numbering system around 1873 and the houses were re-numbered. With the introduction of street names in 1919 the houses were allocated a street name and new number. Fascinating map for tracing the history of your house or the house your ancestors may have lived in.
